No domain server available

Workstation with win95 updated to win98. When attempting to login to my NT server, I get a response “No domain server was available to validate your password. You may not be able to gain access to some network resources”. Nothing has changed in my network configuration,(Microsoft network, the workgroup same as all other units) I can activate Network Neighborhood and see the peer’s I’m sharing with\to, but not the server. Any body have this happen before?
