No log on prompt

Hi:

When my win98 laptop boots up, It woun’t come up with logon prompt (box). It automatically log me on to the machine not to the network. When I log off after I logged on locally, It comes up with the log on prompt and I have to put my user name, PW, and domain name then it logs me on to the network. If I reboot again, I have to go through the same rutine that I mentioned above.I removed the PCMCIA card and the driver and reinstalled it but this did not solve the problem. Please help if you have an idea.
