No print local, can print from network?

What is the problem that I cannot print to my local laser printer, but can print (to its printer) from any other system on the network. Also will not print sample from local, but can remotely. Win 98 SE, 512 megs ram, 60% hd open, replaced parallel driver, replaced printer driver, replaced printer, same results.
