No printer is available – error coming

In windows98 network,
All of a sudden when we print thru’ office 2000 or any application, “no printer is connected”is coming. The printers actually are connected via network and loacal port. This problem occurs 3 or 4 times in week.

After this Ihave to reload the printer driver and delete the old driver thru contol panel of windows98.

Suggest some permanent soln with out reloading Win98.
