No Video At Power Up

by jedd . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

I have a PC that was working fine. Below is the configuration:
ASUS A8N-SLI 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard

EVGA 256-P2-N517-AX GeForce 7800GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card

Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Toledo 2.4GHz Socket 939 Processor Model ADA4800CDBOX (with cpu fan)

CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

This was all placed into a antec case that came with a 400w power supply back in March of 2006.

I came home one day and the power was off to my machine (I leave it on 24/7), however, when I pressed the power button, there was no video.

So far, I’ve replaced the video card, CPU and motherboard and I still get zero video. The motherboard power led, cpu fan and chassis fans all come on.

I’ve tried (assuming that both memory modules aren’t bad) powering on with just one of the 1gb memory modules (yes, I’ve tried both) in at a time. Still I get zero video.

At this point, I’m not sure what my next step should be. My question is all of this is, can the power supply be bad even though the chassis fans, CPU fan, motherboard LED’s, motherboard chip set fan, video card fan and USB ports have power?

Thanks
Jedd
