Norton Anti-virus 2000

Does anyone know how to remove the above manually from your PC? I have a Win2000 Pro OS with NAV installed and when I try to remove this using the uninstall option or through Add/Remove Programs I receive an error about “unable to locate the installation log file” and the uninstallation aborts.
