Not able to print to a network printer

on win2k advanced Server am not able to print to a HP Network printer. i tried deleting a existing port & creating a new Standard TCP/IP Port for the network printer. when i send a test print it takes lot of time & finally throws an error. the server is not able to communicate with this network printer.

how do i fix it ??
