I have a CD-ROM running on Compaq Pentium/Windows 95. Sometimes, it works fine. Then, it stops running without any obvious reason. When I put CD-ROM, a yellow indicator flashes shortly, and I got a message that there is an error. After I press enter I got a black screen and I cannot do anything but turn on/off computer. Control panel shows CD-ROM in my configuration and there are no configuration problems in Drivers Manager. In addition, I always get a message that I have an original and completely optimized configuration. A couple of times I repaired a problem by physically removing driver and putting back, without any rebooting or turning on computer. It did not work last time. Is it time to buy a new CD or it might be some other error.
