Not Responding

I use Windows Millennium Edition and every now and then I get the problem where certain things freeze up. When I press ctrl, alt, delete, I see the problem is Msgsrv32 (not responding) Does anyone know what this is and how I can correct this problem? Just to help you with your replies, I can tell you what the problem is NOT. It is NOT lack of hard disk space as I have ample space free, the problem is NOT low system resources when my [processor is running at 525 MhZ and I have 128 MB SD Ram,and I really don’t have a great many things running at the same time when I use windows ME. I never have this problem with Win98se, so any ideas out there?
