Novell 4.11 to NT4.0

I need to get some ideas about the best way to migrate from a Novell 4.11 environment to NT4.0. Need to prepare for the unexpected, understand the best tools to use and bacially unserstand how to migrate Applications. Any thoughts, recommendationsor technical resources to read would be appreciated
