NT 4.0 disk1\partition zero error

I am having slow performance with a Hard drive as well as a memory dump error when I try to open a particular file. The file is a .HTML extension that will open on everyone else’s computer except this one.
When I tried to run Norton Utilities orthe utilities that Microsoft sent I keep receiving a “disk\1\partition0” error. I am able to ignore this error and move on but I want to be able to fix it.

I have updated the service pack and all drivers.
Any ideas?
