NT Boot Disk using Intel 10/100 VE nic

Having a problem attaching to my NT servers.
I created a boot and logon disk for Windows NT according to Intel’s information that I downloaded from there site but it doesn’t seem to work.

Net Initailize — seems to be OK
NWlink ———- seems to be OK
Net Start ——- seems to be OK
logon as administrator w/password

net use k: \\sms\clients
This is where I receive error 2106:
This operation cannot be performed to your own computer.

Any help would be great. I have beenat this for two days with a 3PM deadline.
