Nt connectivity with Linux

Our company have one nt server & one linux server.Now i wants to see linux machine in my ntserver networknebo.I installed tcp/ip protocol on all my network.NOw i installed tape drive at my ntserver so i am able to backup all my nt based machine.But how can i backup from linux server.Also i wants to details abuot how to connect linux machine to ntserver. I am able to ping vice-versa.
How to share the resources of each other.
