NT Domain Login Screen With WindowsXP

by mansari2 . Updated 23 years, 3 months ago

We recently purchased some computers with WindowsXP Professional Edition. We are on an NT Domain and our server runs Windows NT 4.0. When setting up the new computers we cannot get them to boot up to a Network Login Screen as the Windows98 SE computers do. I have been all over XP and cannot find any place to select to logon to NT domain like you can by going to the properties of Network Neighborhood in Windows 98 SE. If I look at the properties of Client for Microsoft Network I do not get the Logon to NT Domain option. I can boot to XP and locate my network and when I try to access one of the drives it will then ask me for my user name and password….but we want it to prompt you for it on boot. I tried going through My Computer/ Properties/ Computer Name Change and Selected Domain with User Name and Password but still could get in as gives an error message ?Access is Denied.?
