NT OS maximum thru put rate.

I’m not interested in the tranfer rate of any hardware device or what the rate might be based on the servers hardware configuration. I want to know what is the maximum rate the the os can push data (transfer data) for NT 4 and 2000. I know there is a limit to how much the OS can push but I’d like to know the specific rate.
