NT Server and Windows 2000 Printing

by ruloth . Updated 24 years, 1 month ago

We have a NT 4.0 network. A NT 4.0 server controls all network printing. Recently we introduced a few Windows 2000 workstations.

The Windows 2000 PC’s will not use the default form assigned by the print server. The PC’s keep using “Letter” as thedefault. The server properties for the preferred form are available on the Windows 2000 PC’s.

The only way we have been able to correct the problem… when previewing the print job, we reselect the printer and change the form size for the print job.

We tried installing the printer locally on a Windows 2000 PC with Windows 2000 drivers but the printer is still defaulting to the “Letter” form.
