I have a compaq server running windows NT server 4.0 It has been running fine until the last 2 weeks(nothing has been changed or installed on it as far as I know), The problem is this server reboots almost every day around the same time between 7:30and 8:30 AM, the server is connected to a UPS with power shute software. The log shows power spikes sometimes but not all the time. I thought that the UPS is the problem and changed it with the same problem reaccuring I also swapped the wall connection with an other server and the spikes didn’t happen to the other machine. What could be causing this, and why does the machine show service pack 6a as installed but when I try to reinstall it I get a message asking if I want to overwrite service pack 5 ??
