NT server working really slow

Hi, The NT server in my office is working really slow at the minute i.e when i click on an application on the server it takes half a minute to load up. Now this is usually a pre cursor to the server crashing so I am flapping at the minute. I have deleted all the temp files, is there any other files I can delete like logs or something so I can make the machine work faster. Please help
