I’ve a IBM Netfinity 3500 M20 Server acting as a PDC. All of a sudden the Server is off the network though when I access the server directly, I find it’s working fine but unable to either authenticate logon requests nor provide file sharing to clients trying to access it. When I restart the server, everything is back to normal till sometime and again the same problem crops up. There are no error messages in the event viewer too. I’ve tried removing and adding services, reapplying service pack 6A but nothing works. Also the HP Jet Direct print server on the network goes off the network and I get the status message as offline and I need to switch off and switch on the print server to get it online. Is there any solution to this or I’m thinking of formatting and reinstalling NT completely. The server has hardware level raid 5 installed.
