Nt Workstation 4.0 SP4 and VPN

I am running Nt workstation and i am a Remote user dial in from Home to my LAN.
I got both of my connection set up. I have created an LMhost and Paste it to my Winnt directory. I first dial out to my ISP, then once connected, i run my second connection which is a VPN(1). It starts to verify and then to Register to the network. I never get a connection. I get an error ( Checking network protocol connection)(Tcp/ip reported 718: timed outwaiting for a valid response from the remote PPP Peer) I go to my firewall and it tell me i was connected for only 30 second and that is was the user who ended the connection.
