NT4 servers don’t list names in XP pro

Hi,

We are starting to add XP Pro workstations to a Windows NT4 based domain. The main problem we found so far is that all of the other machines are listed in the My Network Places by their comments instead of their actual NetBIOS names. It does append the NetBIOS name to the end in the form below:

For the machine:
Network ID: Server1
Comment: Main file and print server number 1

The machine is listed in the neighborhood as “Main file and print server number 1 (server1)”

This is confusing the heck out of the users.

Any ideas on how to turn this XP “feature” off?
