I am experiencing an issue assigning rights on a WIN2K WEB server residing in a NT 4.0 domain using NT 4.0 Domain User Accounts. I feel like I have tried every combination of NTFS, and IIS rights to accomplish my goal, which is to only allow certainDomain Groups to see the contents of a folder or file. In NT 4.0 I just removed the Everyone Group, and then added the Domain Group that I wanted to have access. If they had not logged into the domain they would be prompted to login. If I had problems with access then I would create a Local Group and add Global Groups to it, one of these always worked. The only thing I have gotten to work with the WIN2K server is to allow Everyone, or to add users to the Administrators Group. Neither of these are acceptable in this situation. Any suggestions?
