NTKERN(08) error and computer reboots.

NTKERN(08) 0002DCC. 0D:0028:C029A05C. Then the computer reboots. This started happening after a USB printer was installed but did not work and a VPN (Checkpoint software) was installed. The printer was uninstalled and then installed as a parr. printer and worked fine. I truely believe that this is a USB problem but do not know how to fix it. SHould I re-install the o/s (WIndows ME)? HELP!!
