NTLDR

my friend today encounter a problem while attempting to start her laptop
a “NTLDR is missing” error message had appear and she has v important files on her hard drive …. my Q is is there any possibility she can safley extract her files ??? and if the cause of her problem was Corrupt boot sector / master boot record will she loose her data after fixing the corrupted sector??!
