ntldr missing

by funkeywoookey . Updated 18 years, 11 months ago

I had a beta of vista on one partition, and an xp pro on another. since i now have a laptop with a final release of vista, i decided to delete everything on the vista partition and use it for storage.

so, of course, i deleted everything on the vista partition.

when i restart, i get the whole, “ntldr is missing” message.

when i look on the xp partition, there’s no boot configuration file (boot.ini). i went ahead and made one, you know. put all the mumbo jumbo in it. still no luck.

any help?
any ideas?

cause im up for anything…especially considering all of my music is on that hard drive…and i really dont wanna copy all of that or spring for an enclosure
