NTUSER.POL.TMP

I am trying to setup a roaming user profile that will work with both NT4 and W2k. The original profile was setup under NT4. When I try and login to a W2K machine I get an error that windows could not copy the file ntuser.pol.tmp.tmp.tmp…… I did go to the server where the roaming profile is stored and tried to delete the .tmp files (of which there were about 55 starting with ntuser.pol.tmp then ntuser.pol.tmp.tmp etc.)
When I try to login to the W2k machine it gives me the same error andthe .tmp files are back int e roaming profile on the server.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
