Numlock light remains on while using NT

I have a PC when using NT the numlock light stays on even though you try and press it. The numlock does actually turn off and on but the light remains on. I’ve tried the registery hack and the bios settings and copying the ntuser.dat files and reinstalling the keyboard driver. Any other ideas??
