ODBC — call failed

Two computers are getting this ODBC error when they try to access certain info in Microsoft Access database. I have used UPHClean.exe because when they logged off it would not. Both computers are up to date and both are Windows XP Pro sp2. The laptop user is admin of his own machine the other is a restricted user. Other users can access the same info and the other users are restricted users. I checked the version of MSjet40.dll and it is the correct version for Winxp sp2. What else could be causing this?
