ODBC Configuration Failed

I’m troubleshooting a Win98SE machine, and whenever the machine loads windows, I get the above error. I have searched the startup locations, and there is no indication what might be trying to configure ODBC. The user cannot remember what she triedto install before she started getting the error and I have checked the ODBC control panel applet to no success. Any ideas that would point me in the right direction would be appreciated. The next step is to disable startup programs one by one until the error goes away, and then to completely reinstall the OS and programs. *shudder*
