ODBC problems

My SQL Server driver version has changed to 2000.80.194.00 and a third party program will not connect a SQL 7.0 Server. I’ve tried reinstalling mdac_typ but the version will not go back to version 3.XX. I’m running NT4.0 Workstation with SP6. I recently installed A palmpilot DB app that may have overwritten the ODBC SQL driver and I uninstalled that.
