Odd font change on Win2K workstation

OK, this is odd. A Win2K Prof. system that has been dropped in my lap has an odd fonts showing in odd places. For example, the Run diaglog box has Tahoma as a font. Other diaglog boxes and even some menus have Tahoma as a font. I set appearance scheme to be Windows Classic, which I would assume would everything back to MS San Sarif. I’ve looked at everything possible, but I can’t get the font to change. I know it’s a probable reg hack, but I have no idea what key to change. And a reimageis out becuase this is a low priority. Any ideas?
