Office 2003 has downloaded to my D recovery drive instead of my C drive,

After running a system restore on my windows xp sp2 pc, I then tried to reinstall Office 2003 Standard and it mysteriously went onto my D recovery drive as opposed to going on my C drive as it should. My HP desktop will not allow me into my D drive of course, so how do I fix and prevent this from happening?
