I have a problem with offline folders on Windows XP Professional. My documents was being redirected to File Server A. File Server A was replaced with File Server B which has a different name. My documents are now being redirected to File Server B. However, when you bring up synchronize, File Server A is still listed. I have unchecked the box to automatically synchronize to that server, I have turned offline files off and then back on. I have deleted all locally cached files from that server. I have deleted all reference to that share from the following registry key – HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\NetCache\Shares\. However, when I connect over VPN, I still get an error that I can’t synchroize because File Server A is unreachable. How can I convince my computer to stop trying to cache files from that server? I don’t want to blow away my profile, because I have many users that are experiencing this problem.
thanks
