My computer gets the following message upon booting:
“Boot Failure
Insert Boot Diskette in Drive A:
Press Any Key to Continue”
However, this message does NOT occur and I get a proper boot anytime I reboot the computer through the Windows “restart” or anytime I reboot the computer by pressing the reboot button on my computer.
I have tried formatting and reinstalling Windows xp. I do not have an A: drive. It should also be noted that during boot the following message flashes quickly:
“Boot Device not found. Bios is not installed!”
But I’ve always had this message even when PC ran without errors- I have used Live Update to detect and install the latest bios for my pc. I have also tried running a drive fitness test for my harddrive and it passed that.
