Oracle authentication error VNI-2015

Client: Oracle 8i, OS = nt. When trying to run the database analyzer, the job transfers from dba studio to the management console and then fails. The error I am getting is VNI-2015: Authentication error. The management server is installed and running along with intelligent agent. I am logging in as a DBA with SYSMAN privileges (default password has been changed). All administrator privileges and correct roles have been granted. Please help! Any idea why I’m getting an authentication error or what’s cooking?
