Outlook 2000 full version-quick question

Hi there,
I’m quite a heavy outlook user. Within the last month, outlook has become extremely slow whenever it’s opening or forwarding an email. I’ve deleted all sorts of junk, scaled down everying, including my in box but still this problem persists. My computer itself is working just fine—it’s got to be a problem with outlook…. have checked mic’s support site and found no help. Any ideas out there??
