Outlook 2000 install on Terminal Server?

We need to update our Outlook 97 to Outlook 2000 on Terminal Server. Are there certain steps we need to take to preserve the current data? We just don’t want to lose everything when we update it. Is it an easy upgrade? Does it need to be installed on individual workstations or just the server and will our users mail settings need to be setup again?
