Outlook 2000 missing contacts

My CEO’s assistants input names into her contacts folder. They then state the changes disappear a day or two later. I am running Exchange 5.5 service pack 4. NT 4.0 service pack 6 on the desktop with outlook 2000 client. Any ideas on what could cause this and what if anything I can do to fix this problem?
