Outlook 2002

by jeaster . Updated 23 years, 1 month ago

I rebuilt a company;s entire netwrok this past weekend, including a new Win2K DC, and placed all the PCs in the new domain with roaming profiles for all the users. Everythin on that end seems to work fine. The DC is just that; there is no web hosting or Exchange at all on the network. However, for some reason, clients will just lose their ability to send and receive mail from a remote pop account. I can ping both their pop and smtp servers, and get a response. The mail servers are all remote from our network, and not managemed by us/them/me. If I delete the outlook account profile, and then recreate it, it usually fixes the problem. Why is this happeneing? As a consultant, I cannot afford to drop everything and run when an email account profile gets hosed spontaneously.
