outlook 97

by sfodm . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

I’ve had to change my minut32.dll driver due to a message on my outlook 97 (for windows 95) – could not send or receive e-mails.
The driver from the CD-ROM didn’t correct it, so I went over the Internet and found a driver (in German – but didn’t know it until I received a message in German!). Then I replaced that .dll file (in English) with one from a friend.
With that English minut32.dll file, everything worked, but for some reason the ‘envelope’ would never show “read” after it was opened,it would still show “unread” no matter how I tried to change the icon.
So I replaced the .dll file again and all is fine with any further mail.
But, why won’t those previous messages change icons? I don’t show that I have___unread messages, it’s just that that ‘envelope’ does not show that it was opened. Any ideas?

Thanks.
