The CEO of one of our subsidiaries checks her corporate Internet e-mail from home and at the office via Outlook 2000. I have configured both the Internet Mail service on her home and office client to “Leave a copy on the server” so that she can use Outlook Web Access when away from those two machines. However, last week her office machine simply stopped receiving Internet e-mail. The error message says that not all mail could be retrieved, probably due to a connection problem with the server. However, I can Telnet to the POP3 port and can list/retreive the messages that are there. She can also connect from her home PC and via OWA. Her office PC can send Internet e-mail with no problem and others in the office (behind the same proxy server)can receive Internet e-mail.
What’s going on?
