Outlook Express, address book off old hard drive

Seems to be a common question, how do I retrieve my Address book off Outlook from my old hard drive which is now in an external encosure, conneced by a USB cable, no longer an independant Identity ! I have had to purchase a new laptop and have been abe to transfer old files and documents. I know where my .wab is however I have not been successful in finding my old email address book…. Short of having to pay for an IT computer expert to hook my old hard drive up to a “standalone” desktop and booting it up independantly, there must be a way for me to do it ? Who out there knows how… ??????
