outlook97

I have just purchased 3 micron pcs and installed
office 97 on them.the outlook97 is freezing up when trying to access the mail server.Micron says
outlook97 does not work with w2k but I know that is not true because I have at least 10 dells with w2k running outlook97.If you have ever seen this problem please HELP!!!!
