Page file configuration problems

by aelara . Updated 25 years ago

Whenever I start my machine (running Win2K Pro), I get a message telling me that no page files exist. I use two hard disks each with two partitions using NTFS. I then get another message telling me that windows has created a temporary page file as there were page file configuration problems at startup. It then advises me to manually input virtual memory allocations. When I get to the appropriate screen and input the new values, (my machine is running 160MB RAM) and press the set button, everything seems OK, with the new values set. After rebooting though, I get the same error messages. Does anyone know what could be the problem?
