parent folder’s “Folder Settings”?

Is it possible to make sub-folders inherit their parent folder’s “Folder Settings”? For instance, if I customize a folder to have a specific background picture, can I make it so that all sub-folders of that folder have the same background picture without having to go through them one by one? Thanks.
