Partition IBM Thinkpad with Japanese W2K

I will buy an IBM ThinkpadR30, with English W2K. I already bought a DVD version of W2K in Japanese. I wanted to install the Japanese W2K on an HP 5425, but the HP came with Windows XP, and it cannot be partitioned, according to HP. Supposedly, I canpartition the IBM and install the Japanese W2K on it. Will I be able to download Japanese drivers for the DVD, Lan, video components. I don’t want to return the IBM like I did with the HP unit, but I need everything to work in both English and Japanese. IBM said it would probably work, but didn’t know for sure.
