Partitioning a hard drive to boot two di

I have a 40gig hardrive and want to partition it 50%win98/50%win2k. What is the procedure after deleting the old partition? Is it possible to do this? I have experience creating and deleting partitions and reformatting hard drive but I donot understand the process for dual os bootup Please help?
