Partitioning of an NTFS Drive

How do I go about partitioning a new primary drive using NTFS and utilizing more than 2 GB? I see on some of our PC’s that were partitioned by someone else have the primary drive with 5,10 and as much as 15 GB NTFS drives partitioned? Anytime I FDISK for a new drive and create a primary drive for NT Workstation, I can only go as high as 2 GB for the primary.
