I know Symantec doesn’t support it anymore, but I was wondering if anyone can help. I’ve got an HP OmniBook that I loaded PM Pro 7 under 98SE. Created a 2nd primary partition D: on which I loaded XP SP2, creating a dual-boot scenario because I still had some legacy programs under 98. Once I took care of those, I tried to upgrade the 98 installation on C: to XP, then merge the partitions. The upgrade never completed – kept powering off in the middle of the upgrade (still haven’t resolved that one). Now the XP install on D: is corrupt and I can’t get around that. I can still boot to 98 on C:, which is FAT32, but it doesn’t recognize the NTFS volume. I was going to change the NTFS to FAT32 so at least I could recognize the partition, but when I applied the change, got an “Error # 1514 Partition Improperly Dismounted” message, and Process Halted.
Any suggestions??
