password expiration warnings

What is the simplest way to change the length of time for the password will expire in 14 days to 5? All our workstations are on 2000 but the domain is a NT network. Is the only way to do this through the registry or is there a script somewhere that will set this? We’ve got a couple hundred users so I’d like to automate the process. THanks!
